Wrangler Jeans, Boots, & Cowboy Hat....

...It's Heart O' Texas Fair time!

Well, of course I'm behind so the fair is over, but it wrapped up last weekend, and of course Kade had to make his first apperance at the fair and rodeo!
Stopping for a pic in Mr. Bills Barnyard!

How'd he like it you ask? Well, lets just say he likes the fair, but isn't much of a rodeo fan. Everytime they dimmed the lights or played loud music he about jumped out of his skin. Needless to say he spent most of the rodeo performance laying in Mommy's lap holding his blanket over his head. Any other time, he was perfectly fine and content!
Excited ..... BEFORE the rodeo started!
Pop's Conversation Magnet!

 Testing the "Deere's" with Pop!

We can't wait until next year for Kade to get his first ferris wheel ride at the fair!

I've had enough Fair; take me home!

Big Boy Bed

Yep, Kade, mommy finally gave in and let you sleep in your own baby bed in your own room on the other end of the house for the first time on October 7th!
Just before Midnight - Hasn't moved since we laid him down

I must admit though, Mommy cried when she was putting you in your bed and cried when she went to bed herself. I was scared for you. What if you were scared? What if you got cold? What if you...well just needed your mommy.

3am - Snuggling with Sissy's favorite dolly

You on the other hand, slept perfectly in your bed! You slept from the time we put you down until it was time to wake up the next morning! However, mommy made sure to check on you several times throughout the night.
Good Morning!

Sissy & Tonka Trucks

I did well at staying caught up for a bit, but now I'm behind yet again.

A couple of weeks ago, our worker at the feed store gave Kade a bunch of his Tonka trucks and other toys from when he was a small child. Well, Daddy got them all cleaned up and decided Kade should take the backhoe with us when we went to see sissy that night.

Kade LOVED playing in the dirt and eating grass having fun. I couldn't help but think what our lives would be like if Kynadi were still here. Would they be close siblings? Would they play well together? Only God can answer that for us.

For now I'll just leave you with a few of the pictures we took that night...

It breaks my heart to know this is the only way Kade will ever have pics of him & Sissy.

1,826 Days

1826 days.
That's 5 years for anyone who is counting.
That's five years that Justin and I have been married.
Today we celebrate 5 years of marriage.

A-L-O-T has happened in those five short years.

- We've had a total of 5 different jobs

- We've lived a total of 3 different places
(including the couch in my office for a month)

- We've lived in 2 different towns

- Moved 3 times

- Had 5 different vehicles

- Overcame mild infertility & had two children

- traveled out of the country & on various trips to different states

- Opened our own business

- and suffered the tragic loss of our daughter

Five years ago today we vowed to love each other in sickness & health, for richer for poorer, for better and for worse. We've had our share of bad times, followed by many good times; we've hit rock bottom and were at a point where we were ready to give up. We've lost a child and defied the odds of not letting it affect our marriage and love for one another. We've gained a new outlook on life and now live each day for what it's worth. We continue to vow to love each other until death do us part.

So, here is to and another 50+ years!

Happy Anniversary Justin! I love you sooo much, and would not be the person I am today without you by my side. I could not have made it through the past year and a half especially if it wasn't for you by my side. You've been my shoulder to cry on, my ear to listen, and my rock. Through everything that we have been through, I love you more today than I did when I said "I Do" five years ago.
