Kade Glenn: 8 Months
I cannot believe I forgot to post Kade's 8 month stats and post!
This has been a SUPER big month (or should I say past couple of weeks) for Kade. He has shown Justin and I how he isn't so much of a baby anymore even though we want him to. He has become so much more independent over just the past two weeks alone. Weight: 17lbs 12oz
Height: 28.00 inches (guesstimate)
Sleeping Patterns:
You've continued going to bed earlier each night. You are typically pretty fussy and ready for bed around 7:45-8:00.
You have been sleeping in your own bed in your own room for a few weeks now. You do really well.
You continue to be unscheduled on naps. Some days you will take an hour or two nap, other days I do good to get you down for one 15 minute power nap.
I have been just letting you play until you play yourself to sleep so that we dont' have to fight you for a nap.
Eating Patterns:
You are eating 6.5 – 7oz of formula about every 4-5 hours.
We have moved you to Stage 3 baby food since it is thicker and you don't do well in keeping thinner foods down.
You get a fruit and a veggie each day.
You still have some problems with the reflux, but it seems to only be with thinner liquids.
I think we are beginning to get over the hump now as it isn't as bad/often as it was.
You love to drink from any kind of cup or from a straw.
Clothing/Diaper Size:
You've moved up in clothes sizes this month! At 8months old, your 0-3 onesies/oufits have finally became an item of the past You are more comfortable in 3-6, but do wear some 6months even though they are loose. I have solved the problem in jeans for you! Osh Kosh B Gosh finally got smart and started making size 6 month pants with an adjustable waist. You could use a few more holes in the elastic though to make them tighter. You still wear 0-3 in shorts. You wear size 6-9 months for pajamas (again only for the length)!
You are fully in size 2 diaper!
You are fully in size 2 shoes and even some size 3 shoes!
Milestones/ Odd's & End's:
- You have figured out how to wiggle yourself through the baby gate bars at work
- You have figured out how to wiggle yourself through the baby gate bars at work
- You are beginning to take a few "cruising" steps along furniture
- You are beginning to eat more and more table food
- you aren't so much of mommy little boy who loves to rock. You'd rather just sit in our lap like a big boy to go to sleep (even at night)
- army crawling is a thing of the past as well. You crawl like a big boy now, and you for some reason love to crawl to the bathroom.
- you love to watch Bob the Builder
-You have made the move from your infant carrier to your big boy rear facing carseat.
- You are beginning to put your hand up and wave bye bye at people!
- you continue to love your baths. We have moved you out of the bath chair since you figured out how to climb out of it!
You take your baths sitting/laying in the tub like a big boy now and you love it!
- loud noises continue to scare you more so than they did your sissy
-. You constantly have to be on the go!
- you love to constantly have something in your hands
- Both bottom front teeth are now in and boy are they sharp!
- you are still fighting the reflux problem, but are still taking Reglan three times a day to help it & making progress!
- you are constantly pulling up on things and being told to sit down when you shouldn't be standing.
- you like to have your teeth brushed

Trick Or Treat..
H.A.P.P.Y
H.A.L.L.O.W.E.E.N
Lil Kade had his 1st Halloween and Trick or Treating experience yesterday as a lil baby chicken! He had a blast. He woke up to sugar rush and went to bed with a sugar rush! Daddy treated Kade to his very first sucker at oh say 8:30am! Cotton Candy was the flavor of choice and my oh my did he have it every where!
After work, we dressed Kadester back up and headed out for some trick or treating. First we stopped at the GVFD for the Trunk or Treat!

Wrangler Jeans, Boots, & Cowboy Hat....
...It's Heart O' Texas Fair time!
Well, of course I'm behind so the fair is over, but it wrapped up last weekend, and of course Kade had to make his first apperance at the fair and rodeo!
Stopping for a pic in Mr. Bills Barnyard!
How'd he like it you ask? Well, lets just say he likes the fair, but isn't much of a rodeo fan. Everytime they dimmed the lights or played loud music he about jumped out of his skin. Needless to say he spent most of the rodeo performance laying in Mommy's lap holding his blanket over his head. Any other time, he was perfectly fine and content!
Excited ..... BEFORE the rodeo started!
Pop's Conversation Magnet!
Testing the "Deere's" with Pop!
We can't wait until next year for Kade to get his first ferris wheel ride at the fair!
I've had enough Fair; take me home!

Sissy & Tonka Trucks
I did well at staying caught up for a bit, but now I'm behind yet again.
A couple of weeks ago, our worker at the feed store gave Kade a bunch of his Tonka trucks and other toys from when he was a small child. Well, Daddy got them all cleaned up and decided Kade should take the backhoe with us when we went to see sissy that night.
Kade LOVED playing in the dirt andeating grass having fun. I couldn't help but think what our lives would be like if Kynadi were still here. Would they be close siblings? Would they play well together? Only God can answer that for us.
For now I'll just leave you with a few of the pictures we took that night...

1,826 Days
1826 days.
That's 5 years for anyone who is counting.
That's five years that Justin and I have been married.
Today we celebrate 5 years of marriage.
A-L-O-T has happened in those five short years.
- We've had a total of 5 different jobs
- We've lived a total of 3 different places
(including the couch in my office for a month)
- We've lived in 2 different towns
- Moved 3 times
- Had 5 different vehicles
- Overcame mild infertility & had two children
- traveled out of the country & on various trips to different states
- Opened our own business
- and suffered the tragic loss of our daughter
Five years ago today we vowed to love each other in sickness & health, for richer for poorer, for better and for worse. We've had our share of bad times, followed by many good times; we've hit rock bottom and were at a point where we were ready to give up. We've lost a child and defied the odds of not letting it affect our marriage and love for one another. We've gained a new outlook on life and now live each day for what it's worth. We continue to vow to love each other until death do us part.
So, here is to and another 50+ years!
Happy Anniversary Justin! I love you sooo much, and would not be the person I am today without you by my side. I could not have made it through the past year and a half especially if it wasn't for you by my side. You've been my shoulder to cry on, my ear to listen, and my rock. Through everything that we have been through, I love you more today than I did when I said "I Do" five years ago.
