As I set here, I must first say that I am soooo very blessed! Yesterday, we had our very 1st visit and ultrasound with the OB doctor. Before we went, Justin & I were both so nervous, but knew & had accepted the fact that everything was in God's hands, and that there was a chance that things might not be just perfect.
However, as soon as they got the baby on the monitor, I immediately saw the heart just a beating away, and felt a huge sigh of relief go over my body. After they were done, and the dr gave us the u/s pics, I wish I had my camera to take Justin's picture. He was just setting there studying every little detail of our miracle with a smile from ear to ear....it truly was priceless!!! I can tell he is already such a proud daddy to-be! Then, as we got ready to leave, he placed the pics inside of a magazine he picked up in there to ensure that they wouldn't blow away or get bent up in the wind outside....it was great!
Anyway, everything is measuring right on time with me being 8wk4d along. CRL length is 2.4cm, and my due date has been put at July 19th 2009!!! Our next appt is January 14th when we will actually get to HEAR the heartbeat!!!
Thanks for all the prayers & concerns!! It has been a long road getting this far, but neither of us would trade it for this word. The experience we have been through has made us so much stronger as individuals & as a couple, as well as increasing our faith & coming face to face with the fact that we as humans are not in control, rather God is! This truly is a miracle given to us by God!!!
P.S. I'll get u/s pics posted in the next couple of days....thats if we can stop looking at them long enough!!!
